If your computer is not equipped with a CD-/DVD drive (notebooks, for example, are almost always delivered without one), please do the following to use Migration Kit for Windows 7.
- Download the file “oouh_x32_x64_en.zip“from this website and save it, for example, in C:\: .
- Now open the Windows Explorer. The fastest way to do this is by pressing the Windows key (that’s the key with the Windows symbol on it - a waving flag) and keeping it pressed while you also press the E key.
- Now click on C:\ and then on the file “oouh_x32_x64_en.zip“. Extract the ZIP archive.
- Open the extracted folder and select the sub-folder “SETUP“. In this folder, double-click the file “oocdrun.exe“(you might only see the file “oocdrun”).
- You can now follow the instructions found in the Migration Kit for Windows 7 manual. Every time you’re asked to insert the CD, follow the directions in Step 4 of this short guide. This will allow you to also use Migration Kit for Windows 7 on a computer that doesn’t have a CD/DVD drive.

Note: A purchased license is required to activate the download version of Migration Kit for Windows 7. Due to licensing regulations, there is no O&O DiskImage Start CD, based on Windows PE, included in the download version of Migration Kit for Windows 7 intended for use on computers without an optical drive. Your programs, files, and settings will still be completely migrated to Windows 7, and O&O DiskImage will also create images of your computer without any restriction. Restoring an image created by O&O DiskImage on a system drive is, however, only possible with the help of the Start CD.
